Università degli Studi di Genova

UNIGE is one of the oldest universities in Europe. Its main site is in Genova and three other campuses are located in the Liguria region, each one having specific features linked with the socioeconomic environment.
UNIGE has a long record of international cooperation projects both at Member States' level and with Partner Countries. In addition to its outstanding internal dimension, UNIGE is a partner in networks, associations, international organisations, including the ISCN (International Sustainable Campus Network, www.international-sustainable-campus-network.org) and UI (University of Indonesia) Greenmetric (www.greenmetric.ui.ac.id).

UNIGE has great experience in campus sustainability through projects such as “Energia 2020” (www.energia2020.unige.it), an important and innovative action within the Smart City & Sustainable Energy topics conceived, designed and developed by the University of Genoa into Savona Campus, in public partnership with the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR), Italian Ministry of Environment and Protection of Land and Sea (MATTM) and Liguria Regional Administration.
